Gernot Simon becomes new Country Manager
Extra mile for Rutronik: The Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GesmbH appoints Gernot Simon as the new Country Manager in Austria from June 1, 2024. He succeeds Christian Zotter, who worked in this position for the distributor for over ten years. Gernot Simon is a long-standing employee who has been with the company for 20 years and has held a number of positions. Finding long-term, partnership-based solutions, stable, and healthy growth paired with a sense for innovation and new growth markets are attributes that have characterized Rutronik Austria in the past and for which the company will continue to stand.
Strategically, Gernot Simon sees great potential for the Austrian market in the market segments of e-mobility, renewable energies and medical technology:
“Austria plays a pioneering role in the field of renewable energies, especially with regard to biomass cogeneration. But there are also many customers in Austria with innovative approaches and great potential in the field of electrified drives and related technologies such as BMS or charging infrastructure.” Gernot Simon continues: “In future, our focus at Rutronik will be on providing even greater technical support to our customers with our regional team. Above all, this includes design-in in close cooperation with our focus manufacturers.”
