Distributor menges electronic joins FBDi association in January 2019

ROland Püplichhuisen, Managing Director

The FBDi association welcomes distributor menges electronic as new member. The distribution company for active, passive and electromechanic components was established in 1990 concentrates on customer specific system solutions and full service for a greatest variety of products. Efficient partners and innovative product lines form the portfolio of the menges group.

“For us, distribution and service means the combination of our portfolio with an extensive flexible purchasing policy and individually tailored logistics according to the needs of our customers,” says Sebastian Menges, Managing Director/Authorized Officer at menges electronic, about the business model. Key foundations are flexibility and personal support, built on mutual respect and competence. “Our membership in the FBDi association offers an ideal platform to keep a close eye on the developments in the electronic market and exchange views with companions on current issues.”

A clever purchasing management guarantees flexibility, best quality and the widest variety of products. This is where menges electronic can leverage its core expertise: As the online search of articles brings together inventories of audited distribution partners in Europe, this leads to a product pool of more than 2 million articles, which can be delivered within a few working days. Thus, customers receive valuable support when searching for available inventory – which is a real benefit in times of allocation. No need to say that menges electronic is open for additional potential partners (distributors, manufacturers, EMS-service providers) to extend the cooperation network.

The service portfolio of menges electronic also includes top technical service (design-in, second-sourcing, testing, tape + reel), the implementation of customer specific application interfaces (EDI), customized labels and logistic systems, purchasing of products which are obsolete and difficult to get, and on request menges also works out customized system solutions. Due to constant product trainings by partners, the sales team always stays up-to-date and is able to react to shifts of the market immediately. The menges group is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001, and provides traceability labelling.
